SAP AMS Consultant with a focus on Payroll (SAP HCM PY or SuccessFactors ECP)

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced SAP HCM Payroll or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Consultant with strong expertise in German Payroll to join their respected AMS (Application Management Services) team.

This is a long-term, remote opportunity supporting a portfolio of valued clients across the DACH region.

Your Responsibilities

• SAP Payroll Support: Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP HCM PY or SuccessFactors ECP Payroll tickets with professionalism and attention to detail.
• German Payroll Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of German wage types, rules, and schemes to ensure compliant and accurate payroll processing.
• Customizing: Configure, adjust, and optimize SAP HCM Payroll or SuccessFactors ECP systems to meet client-specific needs.
• Rules and Schemes: Independently create, adapt, and maintain payroll rules and payroll schemes within SAP.
• Client Communication: Act as a trusted advisor, communicating fluently in German, supporting HR/Payroll teams through complex processes and offering solutions that inspire confidence.
• Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable German payroll regulations, including tax, social insurance (Sozialversicherung), and labor law.
• Ticket and Case Management: Prioritize and resolve client issues efficiently within agreed service levels (SLA).
• Continuous Process Improvement: Identify areas for optimization and drive best practice solutions across client payroll landscapes.

What You Bring

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in SAP HCM Payroll and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) with a specific focus on German Payroll.
• Deep functional expertise across:
• Wage Types (Lohnarten)
• Payroll Rules (Regeln)
• Payroll Schemes (Schemas)
• German statutory requirements (Lohnsteuer, Sozialversicherung, etc.)
• Demonstrable experience in independent creation and maintenance of rules and schemes.
• Solid SAP customizing skills related to payroll processes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent German (C1/C2 level) is mandatory; English is advantageous.
• A proactive, empathetic attitude: you enjoy building trust with clients and guiding them through critical business processes.
• Self-driven with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team.

Nice to Have

• SAP Certification in SAP HCM Payroll or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll
• Previous AMS/Managed Services experience
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Payroll
• English proficiency (spoken and written)
